Most commercial fragrances sit between 10% and 20% oil concentration — a range chosen largely for cost efficiency rather than performance. From the earliest days of developing Aroma Sense, we set a different bar entirely. We wanted a fragrance house built specifically for Southeast Asia's climate, one where heat and humidity routinely strip lighter formulations of their character within a few hours, regardless of how well they were reviewed in a cooler market. Achieving a stable, skin-safe 30% concentration — true Extrait de Parfum strength — required months of laboratory refinement, extensive stability testing, and a level of precision blending typically reserved for niche artisanal houses rather than a value-driven fragrance brand.

Precision without compromise

A higher oil concentration is never simply a matter of adding more fragrance oil into an existing formula and calling it done. At elevated concentrations, certain aromatic compounds can become harsh, unbalanced, or even irritating on skin if they aren't properly calibrated against one another — a risk that grows with every additional percentage point of concentrate. Our perfumers worked meticulously through that risk, fragrance by fragrance, so that potency never comes at the cost of comfort.
