Spearmint
Sweeter and softer than peppermint, less sharp on the nose.
What Spearmint actually smells like
Spearmint is steam-distilled from the leaf of Mentha spicata — a close relative of peppermint, but with a noticeably sweeter, softer profile that lands gentler on the nose. Where peppermint sharpens a room, spearmint simply freshens it.
That gentler edge makes it more versatile across the home, comfortable in both bedrooms and kitchens where peppermint's intensity might be too much.

A note on safety
For external aromatherapy use only — never taken internally. Use with care during pregnancy, ideally in a diffuser rather than on skin, and avoid entirely during the first trimester unless a qualified practitioner advises otherwise. Suitable for diffuser and inhalation use for adults and children 12 and over; for younger children, consult a healthcare professional first. Use with caution around pets, and never apply topically to an animal. Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.
