The character

What Neroli actually smells like

Neroli is steam-distilled from the blossom of Citrus aurantium — the bitter orange tree, the same source as Petitgrain, but from the flower rather than leaf and twig. That shared origin gives it a brighter, greener edge than most other white florals.

That clear-headed brightness makes it well suited to mornings and workspaces, where a floral note with real lift does more than a heavier, sweeter option would.

A note on safety

For external aromatherapy use only — never taken internally. Use with care during pregnancy, ideally in a diffuser rather than on skin, and avoid entirely during the first trimester unless a qualified practitioner advises otherwise. Suitable for diffuser and inhalation use for adults and children 12 and over; for younger children, consult a healthcare professional first. Use with caution around pets, and never apply topically to an animal. Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.
