Mandarin
Soft and sweet citrus, gentler than orange with less bite.
What Mandarin actually smells like
Mandarin is cold-pressed from the peel of Citrus reticulata, and it sits at the gentler end of the citrus spectrum — soft and sweet, with none of the sharper bite that orange or lemon can carry.
That mildness is precisely why it's a favourite for bedrooms and children's rooms, spaces that call for something soothing rather than energising.

A note on safety
For external aromatherapy use only — never taken internally. Use with care during pregnancy, ideally in a diffuser rather than on skin, and avoid entirely during the first trimester unless a qualified practitioner advises otherwise. Suitable for diffuser and inhalation use for adults and children 12 and over; for younger children, consult a healthcare professional first. Use with caution around pets, and never apply topically to an animal. Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.
