Grapefruit
Bittersweet and energising, one of the brighter citrus notes.
What Grapefruit actually smells like
Grapefruit is cold-pressed from the peel of Citrus paradisi, and its bittersweet edge sets it apart from the sweeter citrus oils — a brightness with just enough bite to feel genuinely energising rather than simply pleasant.
That energising quality is why it earns a place in mornings and workspaces, where an alert, slightly sharp scent supports getting things done.

A note on safety
For external aromatherapy use only — never taken internally. Use with care during pregnancy, ideally in a diffuser rather than on skin, and avoid entirely during the first trimester unless a qualified practitioner advises otherwise. Suitable for diffuser and inhalation use for adults and children 12 and over; for younger children, consult a healthcare professional first. Use with caution around pets, and never apply topically to an animal. Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.
