Eucalyptus
Sharp and medicinal-fresh, the note most associated with clear breathing.
What Eucalyptus actually smells like
Eucalyptus is steam-distilled from the leaf of Eucalyptus globulus, and it's the note most people already associate with clear breathing and steam inhalation — sharp, medicinal-fresh, and instantly recognisable even to people who've never used an essential oil before.
That association is exactly why it's suited to bathrooms and any room that feels congested or stuffy, where its clearing character does real work.

A note on safety
For external aromatherapy use only — never taken internally. Use with care during pregnancy, ideally in a diffuser rather than on skin, and avoid entirely during the first trimester unless a qualified practitioner advises otherwise. Suitable for diffuser and inhalation use for adults and children 12 and over; for younger children, consult a healthcare professional first. Use with caution around pets, and never apply topically to an animal. Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets.
