Basil is steam-distilled from the leaf of Ocimum basilicum, and the oil keeps a peppery, green sharpness that's more assertive than most kitchen herbs used in diffusion — closer to the fresh-cut leaf than the milder dried version most cooking calls for.

Three ways to use Basil
Diffuser
Up to 6 drops (0.2mL) in your mist diffuser's water, used as needed up to 6 times a day. For adults and children 12 and over.
Inhalation
3 drops (0.1mL) on a pillow or tissue — ideal for bedtime, travel, or a quick reset during the day.
Topical, diluted
2 drops into 10mL of carrier oil for massage. Mix fresh and discard any unused portion.
